When will the Miami Dolphins be on the clock tonight?
The 2025 NFL Draft starts at 8 p.m. Eastern tonight. During the first round, teams will have 10 minutes to make each pick, bringing up the question: What time will the Miami Dolphins make their first-round pick?
According to our friends at FanDuel sportsbook, the Dolphins are most likely to use their initial selection this year on an offensive lineman (+125). They could also consider a defensive lineman/edge rusher (+250), cornerback (+300), or safety (+600). While those odds tell us who the Dolphins could pick, it does not tell us when Miami will make their pick.
To get an idea of when Miami will be making their first round selection, I turned to the last five drafts to get an idea of when the 13th overall pick was made.
2024 NFL Draft:
Last year, the Las Vegas Raiders used the 13th pick to select Georgia tight end Brock Bowers. The pick was made at 9:37 p.m. Eastern.

2023 NFL Draft:
In 2023, the Green Bay Packers selected Iowa defensive end Lukas Van Ness with the 13th selection. The pick was made at 9:43 p.m. Eastern.

2022 NFL Draft:
The Philadelphia Eagles used the 13th pick in 2022 to select Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis. They made the selection at 9:40 p.m. Eastern.

2021 NFL Draft:
The 13th pick in 2021 sent Northwestern tackle Rashawn Slater to the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers made the selection at 10:01 p.m. Eastern – the latest of the picks to be made but likely because the league started the draft with a celebration of a return to in-person drafts after 2020’s COVID-19 remote year.

2020 NFL Draft:
And in that COVID-19 impacted draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers used the 13th pick on Iowa tackle Tristan Wirfs. The pick was made at 9:50 p.m. Eastern.

When will the Dolphins’ first-round pick be made?
Assuming no trade, the Dolphins will be on the clock with the 13th pick tonight. Based on the past five drafts, Miami should be making their pick at around 9:47 p.m. Eastern. That said, there is the outlier of the 20210 and 2021 Drafts, with COVID and the post-COVID times being a little off. It is more likely that the Dolphins will make their pick a few minutes earlier than that, probably around 9:41 p.m. Eastern.
