The Miami Dolphins’ offensive highlights through the first week of training camp are as frequent and explosive as any year in recent memory. And what makes much of Miami’s high-flying highlights from training camp so intriguing is the fact that the offense has done it without several of their best receivers. Will Fuller has been sidelined since the first practice with a lower body injury. Preston Williams has started camp on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. And the same with DeVante Parker, the team’s leading receiver in each of the last two seasons.
But the Dolphins are starting off Week 2 of training camp with a bit of good news:
DeVante Parker is back in action. The team announced this morning that the Dolphins have activated Parker off of the PUP list and he showed up at this morning’s practice fully dressed and ready to go.
It didn’t take him long to make an impact, either.

If (and this is a big if), Miami can keep the receivers healthy and able to go wire to wire for the upcoming season, the excitement level of this offense is going to be a massive upgrade over the explosive play potential of the 2020 group. And while Parker’s chemistry with Tagovailoa, based on last season, is a work in progress, he certainly will have a role to play with his physical presence and high point ability to attack the football.
The timing is great for Parker, too. The Dolphins are strapping on the pads tomorrow for the first time and his physical play style will be given the full opportunity to shine moving forward.
