Celtics vs Heat Game 7 Predictions

May 28, 2022 by Last Word On Pro Basketball

The Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat Game 7 predictions will give NBA fans an overview of what to expect come Sunday evening. Boston had a golden opportunity to book their way into the NBA Finals but fell to Miami in the final stretch of Game 6 Friday night. There will be a Game 7 as a result.

Celtics vs Heat Game 7 Predictions

Jimmy Butler

Jimmy Butler makes the Heat a better team. But without the help of Tyler Herro, the Miami Heat will limp dangerously towards elimination. Game 4 and Game 5 had Butler scoring six and 13 points, respectively. The Celtics vs Heat Game 7 predictions had some people looking at Butler’s capacity to deliver another masterpiece performance. But does he have enough to see Miami through the final game in the East?

Boston’s Road Victories

Road wins for the Celtics fared well in the playoffs winning four times away from home. Both squads split their first four matches with Boston winning the last road contest and bringing Game 6 back to TD Garden.

Close quarter victories were imperative to the Boston Celtics. They won over the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays and a commanding upset against Milwaukee Bucks in Game 6 at Fiserv Forum. Those road wins resulted in a 6-2 road slate this postseason.

Boston will need Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown to produce if they want to conquer Miami. In those six road wins, Tatum delivered a total of 194 points. Can he bring in the big points when needed in Game 7? He’s averaging 24.8 points, eight rebounds, and 5.5 assists in this series in the first six games of this series. Brown on the other hand is averaging 24.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in the Eastern Conference Finals.

How the Heat won Game 6

In Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Miami’s starters only scored a total of 19 points, followed by Game 5 where they totaled just 42 points. Some of it can be credited to the stifling Boston defense.

Game 6 was a totally different story. The Heat’s starters delivered 95 points. Butler delivered a playoff career-high 47 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, and four steals. After a scoreless performance by Kyle Lowry in Game 5, he had 18 points and 10 assists in Game 6, back to being a championship contender in the playoffs. The Heat offense came back after only scoring 82 and 80 points the last couple of games.

With Herro’s groin injury, there’s a possibility that he might not suit up in the deciding Game 7 of the series. Bam Adebayo will need to contribute more offensively if they want to get past the Eastern Conference Finals. Outside of Game 3, he has been quiet offensively.

Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat Game 7 Prediction

The NBA Pick for this Game is the Boston Celtics -2.5. Herro was out in the last three matches with a left groin strain and there’s a chance that he might not suit up in this game. Boston is second in defensive efficiency in the playoffs and is the stronger team in this matchup. In conclusion, the prediction is the Boston Celtics winning 102-95 and advancing to the NBA Finals.

Game 7 of the 2022 Eastern Conference Finals Starting Time:  8:30 p.m. ET
