The Heat are looking for a fourth straight win, and to avenge their previous loss to Dallas.
Miami completed an important two game road trip with wins and now have two home games against West opponents before their important trip to Boston.
Dallas have won 6 of their last 8 but just dropped a home game to the Sacramento Kings. Both the Heat and Mavericks are sitting in the 6th seed in their Conference and so there is a lot to play here for both teams looking to avoid the play-in tournament.
Dallas beat Miami 93-83 on January 1. Miami’s rotation is significantly different than that game, but Luka had 27 points on the Heat. He will be the key for Miami. Jimmy Butler will likely get the primary matchup, but I am sure they will also use the length of Trevor Ariza on him. Doncic works heavy in pick and roll, so the Heat will be switching a lot — as long as they can avoid Kendrick Nunn and Duncan Robinson routinely being iso’d by Doncic, they can be successful.
Look for another good game from Bam Adebayo, as the Mavericks will have little interior resistance for him.
ODDS: FiveThirtyEight gives the Heat a 58% chance to win the game.
