Miami gets their first look at Kelly Olynyk and Avery Bradley who are possibly looking for a revenge game when the Rockets visit Miami.
Coming off the heels of a thrilling win against the Brooklyn Nets where Bam Adebayo hit a game-winning shot at the buzzer, the Heat will host the Houston Rockets (15-42). This will be the first matchup between the teams since they completed a trade on the trade deadline that sent Kelly Olynyk and Avery Bradley to the Rockets and Victor Oladipo to the Heat.
Oladipo is not expected to play, but Olynyk and Bradley will be available.
The Rockets have struggled a lot this season, but they are not a push-over win, especially for the Heat who could still be without Jimmy Butler who missed Sunday’s game. Christian Wood will create problems for Miami that they will have to alter their defensive plan. Fortunately, it seems John Wall will also miss this game, as he would have also created some matchup problems for the Heat.
Miami is hoping to get Tyler Herro on track who is averaging 7 PPG in his last 4 games. The Heat needs him to be the scorer and playmaker that he is to get to be the team they need him to be. The Rockets shouldn’t provide much resistance — and they shouldn’t kill the Heat on the boards either.
ODDS: FiveThirtyEight gives the Heat a 78% chance to win the game.
