If you’re craving some Heat basketball, you can get your fix tonight when they face off against the Lakers.

The Miami Heat are set to begin Summer League tonight, August 3, with a game against the Los Angeles Lakers at 8pm EST on ESPN 2 as part of the California Classic tournament in Sacramento.

The back-to-back set continues tomorrow with a game against the Golden State Warriors. From there the team travels to Las Vegas for the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League tournament, with their first game scheduled for Sunday, August 8 against the Denver Nuggets.

Former Heat player and current assistant coach Malik Allen will serve as the head coach during Summer League play.

Heat players KZ Okpala, Max Strus, Gabe Vincent and Ӧmer Yurtseven will participate. Strus and Vincent transitioned from being two-way players last season to re-signing with the Heat yesterday with standard NBA contracts. Yurtseven is not currently under contract after the team declined their option year but will play in Summer League.

Second-year power forward Precious Achiuwa was previously listed on the roster but has since been traded along with Goran Dragic to the Toronto Raptors in the sign-and-trade deal for point guard Kyle Lowry.
