The Miami Heat are expected to sign Jimmy Butler to a contract extension this offseason.
Butler is eligible for a four-year extension worth approximately $181 million.
Butler’s contract from 2019 was worth $141 million over four years with a a $37.7 million player option in 22-23. Butler’s extension would replace his 22-23 option worth $37.7 million and include three more seasons beyond that one.
Miami has between August 6th and October 18th to extend Butler.
Butler led the Heat to The Finals in 2020 and had was a Third Team All-NBA selection in 20-21 despite a difficult bout with COVID-19.
