Haslem chided spring breakers visiting South Florida.
Last week, a CBS News video showing spring breakers flocking to Miami went viral. One of the spring breakers said, “If I get corona, I get corona. At the end of the day, I’m not gonna let it stop me from partying.”

Turns out, Miami native Udonis Haslem had to speak on it.
In a Players’ Tribune piece, Haslem said, “They’ve never been to Liberty City. They’ve never seen the side of the city that’s living check to check.”
The Heat legend discussed his battles with poverty growing up. Many nights, he only had “little red boxes of raisins” for dinner. But he adds that he survived because people in his community gave him the shirt off their back or a few dollars to help them eat.
Haslem ends his piece asking people to donate to Feeding South Florida and to keep themselves at home.
