Trevor Rogers and Corbin Burnes will start Monday’s Marlins vs. Brewers game at American Family Field. Full lineups and game notes in here.
Welcome to Monday’s Marlins (9-12, +1 RD) vs. Brewers (13-8, +18 RD) game thread.
During every Marlins game, join in on the Fish Picks prop bets fun. It’s always free to participate and the prizes are real.
To make it possible for us to count all of your individual picks in an efficient manner (instead of just the “perfect games”), we are transitioning to this Fish Picks submission form. Picks are only valid if submitted to us prior to first pitch.
At the end of each month, the Fish Picks points leader will receive a t-shirt of their choice from our partners at Legends of Dade!
The Fish Picks leaderboard will be updated daily.
- 2B Jazz Chisholm Jr.
- SS Miguel Rojas
- 1B Jesús Aguilar
- RF Garrett Cooper
- LF Corey Dickerson
- CF Adam Duvall
- 3B Jon Berti
- C Sandy León
- LHP Trevor Rogers (2021 season stats: 1.64 ERA, 2.37 FIP, 35.6 K%, 46.7 HardHit% in 22.0 IP)
Notes: Jesús Aguilar has 25 career home runs at Milwaukee’s American Family Field (formerly known as Miller Park), far more than he has at any other MLB venue. On the heels of an excellent weekend, Aguilar raised his season wRC+ to 137 (league average is 100). That’s on pace to be a personal best for him…Chad Wallach is in a funk defensively, struggling to frame pitches—especially to his glove side—and to control opposing baserunners. Sunday was the first time in his career that he allowed three stolen bases in a game.
- 2B Kolten Wong
- CF Tyrone Taylor
- RF Avisaíl García
- C Manny Pina
- 1B Keston Hiura
- LF Billy McKinney
- SS Luis Urías
- 3B Pablo Reyes
- RHP Corbin Burnes (2021 season stats: 0.37 ERA, 0.71 FIP, 47.1 K%, 26.2 HardHit% in 24.1 IP)
Notes: This will be the first time all season that the Brewers lineup has faced a left-handed starting pitcher…With all due respect to Rogers and how much he is thriving, Burnes and Jacob deGrom are in a tier of their own, bordering on perfection through four starts. Burnes’ cutter averages 96 miles per hour—much faster than any other MLB starter—and he hasn’t walked anybody in 2021…Christian Yelich (lower back strain) will remain sidelined for all three games of this series…As mentioned in my old friends roundup, Brad Boxberger is doing solidly for the Brew Crew in middle relief.
