
Barkov in midseason form with three-point game
The Florida Panthers remained undefeated (4-0) in the preseason by doubking up the Dallas stars 6-3 last night at FLA Live Arena.
After Aleksander Barkov absolutey blistered a wrist shot by Anton Khudobin 77 seconds afrer puck drop the Panthers defense poured in three straight goals to put the home side up by four after twenty minutes.

Denis Gurianov got the only goal Sergeu Bobrovsky gave up 49 seconds into the middle frame. Bobrovsky stopped 11 of the 12 shots he faced, but he’d like that one back.
Jonathan Huberdeau restored the four-goal bulge with 12 seconds left in the period.

Christopher Gibson came on to start the third and was beaten by Jason Robertson and Gurianov before Bennett completed the scoring into an empty net at the 18:49 mark. The Stars made Gibson’s one period a busy one, putting 16 shots on goal.

The Panthers out-shot Dallas by a 36-28 margin and out-hit them 35-25, so another well played exhibition game for the Cats.
Panthers picking up assists were Barkov (2), Bennett (2), Huberdeau, Reinhart, Radko Gudas, Brandon Montour and Weegar.
Roster moves
According to CapFriendly, after the game the Cats assigned forwards Cole Schwindt, Logan Hutsko, Grigori Denisenko, Henry Bowlby and Aleksi Heponiemi and defenseman Max Gildon to the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL. These moves reduce the number of players in training camp to 35.
