Nosek played in 59 games last season for the Panthers. The 32-year old scored one goal and added eight assists. In the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Nosek played in 16 games, recording three points, all assists.
Calder and Stanley Cup Champion
Nosek knows a thing or two about winning championships. In the American Hockey League in 2017, Nosek won the Calder Cup with the Grand Rapids Griffins.
In 2025-26, Nosek will learn to add another championship to his resume as the Panthers go for a third-straight Stanley Cup.
Panthers Bringing the Band Back
Nosek is not the first Panther to be brought back. On Monday, Aaron Ekblad and Brad Marchand re-signed in Sunrise, while Sam Bennett re-signed over the weekend.
After three-straight trips to the Stanley Cup Final and two-straight championships, the Panthers are clearly gearing to continue their run.
Nosek’s Role
Nosek will likely resume his role on the bottom-six forward lines for the Panthers. Similar to last season, Nosek will likely not play in a lot of games. However, he should get in at least 50 games. As last year’s playoff run showed, the Panthers do trust Nosek in big situations. As a result, there is no telling what his exact role will be.
Nosek has only played in 70+ games in his career once, during the 2021-22 season. While that is not a huge sample size, it is an indication he can play in a larger role should the Panthers need it.
Time will tell what Nosek’s role will be. However, as long as it ends with another Stanley Cup, both Nosek and the Panthers will be satisfied.
